(It takes 4-6 months for most custom quilts.)

  1. "Indian Wedding Ring"--26 "wig wam" (triangle) pieces make up each eye or melon section of the "wedding ring" in this design.  It is a very difficult pattern and over 1600 triangles are used for the entire quilt. It is also called "Pickle Dish," with the triangles resembling the oval cut glass of a pickle dish!
  2. "Wreath of Roses"--Emma's newest original design, inspired by the roses in her garden!
  3. "To Your Heart's Content"--an appliqued quilt with 80 hearts, 80 tulips and 80 leaves!

What sets Witmer Quilt Shop apart from others is the stock of antique quilts, many going back to the late 1800s. She has 125 antique quilts, all in good shape for their age. "There is a charm about the old quilts that the new ones just don't have. They're more one of a kind," says Emma.
