The Flower Patch

Located along the scenic Old Philadelphia Pike, just west of Intercourse, The Flower Patch offers a wonderful selection of dried and silk flower wreaths and arrangements, crafts, gifts and much more. Anna Stoltfuz started in the "business" by growing flowers for dried arrangements. Anna created her wreaths and arrangements in her basement and put the flowers along the road on Saturdays. As this seemed to go over well, after four years, the business moved into the shop and things grew from there, with new items added "a little here and a little there!"

The Flower Patch attracts many repeat customers both locally and from the surrounding states of New York, New Jersey and Maryland, and Anna says she learns to know a lot of people! You want be just another customer at The Flower Patch, because Anna gets attached to her regular visitors and wonders what has happened when they don’t come after some time passes. And, she tries hard to keep bringing new items and making new arrangements so something new can greet her "regulars." Those with children find that they kids don’t mind a visit to The Flower Patch because they entertain themselves outside the shop with the family's kittens while their parents shop!

Every Spring for the past five years, 3-4 buses filled with high school seniors from Alabama make a visit to The Flower Patch. On a week bus tour to New York, Washington DC and Lancaster County, they are glad to stretch their legs at The Flower Patch! Anna smiles as she recalls that they are always a great group of kids. It’s quite a rush (with all those buses) she laughs, but it sure is fun!

Plan to explore The Flower Patch during your visit to Lancaster County, Pennsylvania—you won’t regret it! The Flower Patch is located on the Old Philadelphia Pike (Route 340), ¼ mile west of Intercourse.
