Carla Wolfe grew up in the farmlands of
southern York County, just west of Lancaster County and across the
Susquehanna River. After spending her first year of college in the state
of Texas, she decided to transfer to York College of Pennsylvania and
return home to the grandest state of all, Pennsylvania! (Despite the fact
that her parents and both brothers live in the South and West!)
In 1998, Carla graduated from York College
of Pennsylvania, Suma Cum Laude (highest honors), with a degree in
Marketing and Public Relations. She continued her studies in the pursuit of a Masters of Business
Administration degree.
Carla worked at Amish Country
News in the years 1999-2000, managing all aspects of the magazine—from sales
to ad design to desktop publishing, and the "opening" of our
website April 1, 2000! Carla has since moved on to a new job and marriage,
but says that while working at Amish Country News she greatly expanded her
knowledge of the Amish, quilting, farming and what’s new and exciting in
Lancaster County!
